This technology uses liquid nitrogen, targeted through a small, handheld device. The liquid nitrogen serves to "freeze" the target tissue. This allows us to remove smaller lumps and bumps with little to no anesthesia.
Dental care is an extremely important aspect of overall pet care. Does your pet have bad breath? This may indicate dental disease. To perform a complete cleaning, we anesthetize each patient. This allows us to clean and polish each and every tooth. We offer tooth extractions for broken or severely diseased teeth.
Our laser therapy unit adds a great, non-invasive therapy to our toolbox. This laser therapy unit uses various wavelengths of light, generally in the "red" spectrum, to deliver energy to the affected tissue. This energy and light serves to stimulate blood flow to the tissue, resulting in better oxygenation of the affected tissue. In addition, it causes increased release of ATP, the energy source used at the cellular level to promote healing. Typically, cold laser therapy requires multiple treatments with results often noticeable after the first treatment.
Eye care is another critical component to the care of your pet. Changes to the appearance of the eye can be an indication of several systemic diseases. We are able to perform glaucoma screening using tonometry (eye pressure). We can also evaluate the eye and the surrounding ocular tissue using specialized medical equipment. Several additional tests can be performed to evaluate tear production and the integrity of the cornea (the clear covering of the eye).
Lameness is also a very common problem in our pet population. We offer complete orthopedic evaluations and treatment on an out-patient basis. Further testing, such as: diagnostic x-ray services, and surgical procedures can be offered on a case-by-case basis including femoral head resection, and fracture repair, referral services for more advanced surgical services are offered as well.
We feature an exclusive surgical suite where we perform all of our surgical procedures. Procedures that we perform include, but are not limited to: Spay, neuter, tumor removal, puppy dew claws and tail docking, biopsy, ocular surgery, cesarean sections, abdominal surgery, surgical dentistry, and many more.
