Dr. Matthew Weeman grew up on a dairy farm in northeastern Ohio. His first job off the farm was in his hometown veterinary clinic where his passion for veterinary medicine really ignited. He attended The Ohio State University where he obtained his B.S. in agriculture, M.S. in comparative and veterinary medicine and went on to earn his doctorate of veterinary medicine and graduated as president of his class.
After graduating he began his veterinary career in the heart of dairy production in the Finger Lakes region of New York before relocating to the Delmarva peninsula in 2015. Prior to establishing Central Shore Veterinary Services, Dr. Weeman spent time working at a local emergency center and for a few of the region’s small animal hospitals. He provided those small animal services alongside his own large animal mobile practice established in 2016, Bayside Bovine Veterinary Services. His entire career has been spent working on small and large animals alike.
Dr. Weeman is a member of the National Dairy Shrine and was honored to be named as one of Maryland’s Distinguished Veterinarians in 2019. Dr. Weeman serves on the board of the Maryland Veterinary Medical Association and is chair of the legislative committee. In his free time, he enjoys volunteering to assist local 4-H and FFA groups. He lives outside of Greensboro with his wife Hannah and their two sons, two dogs, one cat and a pasture full of potential opportunity.
